We took them to their first Mardi Gras parade, the Krewe of Centaur parade!
Lights!
Music!
Free stuff flying at your face!
All kinds of strangers telling them how cute they are and giving them stuff!
What's not to love?

He danced, made friends, threw his football, and was entranced by the lights.
Audrey was in her 'ready position'
And went right after all the trinkets like an old pro!
At home with our loot: a Krewe of Centaur cup, purple, gold and green seal stuffed animal, football, flashing light Frisbee, and of course, beads.
Their daddy has been a thousand times and wasn't too into it (we really do have more important things we should be doing) but I knew the kids would like it. So like the excellent father he is he sucked it up and took us. We parked at his friend Scott's house and walked a block to the end of the parade route. Daddy knows what he's doing. All kinds of goodies were being dumped at the end of the route. Score one for daddy!
