Easter 2015

I didn't do a great job documenting Easter this year.
I tried to snap a pic of the kids with their palms on Palm Sunday but instead the timer was set. That came as a surprise to all of us. So this is the photo I got. I wasn't sure how to turn it off so I said forget it and put the camera away.

We did the least amount of egg hunting ever this year. Luckily our church holds it's Easter egg hunt on Palm Sunday because we spent Easter Sunday in Hot Springs.
My dapper man

Arden was digging the egg hunt in Audrey's first Easter dress.

My big girl shared her eggs with her littles.

Pictures are hard when you're a family of five. Sheesh.

I invited Barker's friend Arms and his daughter to church with us but somehow failed to get a pic of the kids together. Clearly I'm slipping in my mother of 3 duties.

Also thought I got pics of them with their Easter baskets of goodies but I can't find them on the camera or our phones so I'm guessing I totally spaced somehow. But for what it's worth Hud was stoked about his legos and Audrey loved her chunky necklaces.

This Girl

I just have to say, I love this girl
It still amazes me every day just how sweet this soul is. She's the most patient person I know. I can trust her do whatever I say, even in my absence. She constantly impresses me with the thoughts that run through her head. Audrey would much rather watch the History Channel than the same Disney movie for the millionth time. Mysteries of the Museum and How It's Made are her favorites. And she loves so much- like her siblings, preparing food, parks, hotel indoor pools, sprinkles, crafts, milk. She loves books and tree houses, which is why Barker is reading her a book about a little girl named Audrey and her tree house. She is interested in bugs and rocks. When she grows up she wants to be a spy. She'll always make time to play whatever little kids games Hudson and Arden want to play, or watch his 'baby' movies. She thinks of others. Recently she noticed a boy in her class never wears socks, so she wanted to take her piggy bank money and buy him socks. She's an excellent sharer and the best side kick. I'm a lucky, lucky mommy.

Winter Wonderland

We had a long, cold winter here. The kids had several days off due to ice and snow on the roads. When schools are closed, we're closed. So we quite enjoyed it. Lots of family time!

The kids cuddled on these pajama days.

And I called over some big kids from Centenary to entertain them when they grew bored of me. (Best idea!)

But I did try to give them new things to do, like Kinetic sand.
They also did all kinds of crafts like this one where they play with some food coloring in milk with a tooth pick. Always a fav.

We also took those tooth picks and and marshmallows and made structures.

But mostly we enjoyed the SNOW! It was the most I'd seen since we moved to Louisiana.
Hudson loved 'sledding' with his daddy.

He's a big fan of snow.

 Barkers in parkas

I forced Barker to take a rare pic of me and my babies. Audrey was less than thrilled.

Arden wasn't sure what to make of it at first, but eventually decided she liked it.

And Audrey was an instant pro at snow man building. You'd think she grew up in the north.
We loved our snow break. Lots of cooking, games, crafts, fort building, dance parties and snow ball fights. Good times.
