Sneaky little monkey!

I was putting laundry in the dryer on Sunday afternoon and normally I have to chase Audrey out of there. After a few minutes I noticed that she was still quiet so I figured she was into something. And indeed she was! She found a box of fudge from Cabela's that I had left out of her reach (or so I thought.) She proceeded to take it off the table, open it, find the biggest piece, and try to inhale it faster than I could put clothes in the dryer. She was just standing next to the coffee table, watching TV and taking that fudge to the face! I'm still not sure how she knew what was in the box?

When she noticed she was busted she quickly came over with a huge sticky grin on her face.

Batter Up!

Barker is playing on a softball team so we went with him and Jay to the batting cages on Sunday.

Audrey spent most of the time on her pink cell phone.

North Texas State Fair and Rodeo

We went to the North Texas State Fair and Rodeo for some funnel cake, craft shopping and petting zoo fun! Audrey loved petting all the animals and being outside all afternoon.

Oh, and Joe Dirt was there, too.

My favorite Beatle

We saw Sir Paul McCartney again on Wednesday night and it was an awesome show, as always. He did hours of Beatles tunes, plenty of Wings, his solo stuff, a few off his new "Fireman" album and even did Jimmy Hendrix and Buddy Holly covers. (Because Buddy Holly is from Texas.)
Oh, and Jerry Jones must be a Beatles fan because he let Paul set off fireworks inside the new stadium!

And to answer all the driving questions... parking was very easy. Much more parking than at the old stadium. And no, we didn't sit in any traffic even though there were 80,000 senior citizens in attendance. And the sound was much better than it was a couple of months ago when we saw George Strait. I think they are working out the kinks.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of Prosper High School

On Sunday we went to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for what will be Audrey's High School, Prosper High. We went because Barker has done a lot of work for this district, and we thought one day Audrey might like to see what it looked like when it opened.
Here are a few pictures I took on our tour of the new campus.

The school is way too big to fit into any one shot.

library (I failed to get a shot of the pretty chess sets)

Other than all the outdoor fields, there is also an indoor artificial grass practice field.

There was also food...and Audrey and I never turn down a good cup cake!

She also had a hamburger and blue berry muffin.

Audrey and Daddy checking out a class room.

Audrey meeting the mascot.

We took the elevators because of the stroller.

And the basketball court is insane! I think we counted 8 screens. It's not your typical high school gym. And it's a far cry from the gym at Blum where I graduated...(it was a barn, no lie.)

Toddler Prom

We took Audrey to her first prom on Saturday. Daddy was her date because Henry was out of town and she just couldn't go stag.
We had lots of yummy food, music for the babies to dance to, bubbles and balloons for them to play with, corsages and boutonnieres, and a back drop for their photos. It was beyond cute and I think the parents had just as much fun as the babies.
I love my mom's group! They work so hard to make life fun for our babies and the Mommies. Why, oh why did I move from Arlington?

Alec and Gray were really gettin' down.

Audrey's 1st Very Merry Un-Birthday!!

We celebrated Audrey's birthday again this weekend with an Alice in Wonderland themed un-birthday tea party at our new house. Kristen was kind enough to take some pictures for me.

Proud parents of a one year old!

Her Mad Hatter strawberry and french vanilla cake.

And her smash cake.

Some of the food. Cheshire cat treats for the kiddies and olives for Daddy.

Audrey was excited to see her cousin Dixie.

Audrey playing with her friends Ciara and Dixie.

Thomas Blancher and Henry Louis.

Playing with her Yo Gabba Gabba toys.

Audrey and Dixie in her kitchen.

Getting ready to open gifts.

My girly girl and her purse.

She wasn't much on opening the gifts, just playing with the ribbon and the toys.

Clapping in excitement because she loves instruments.

I loved my tug boat when I was a kid.

Checking out all of her loot! Our friends and family were generous on her birthday.

Reading cards.

Clapping in appreciation.

I thought I might cry when we sang her happy birthday but I held it together. She wasn't sure what to think of everyone singing.

But she enjoyed her cake.

Thanks to everyone that came out and helped us celebrate my sweet girl's first birthday. I know how far everyone had to travel and we really appreciate it.

Some of our family that couldn't attend were kind enough to mail Audrey gifts. Here are some random shots of her opening those gifts.

Audrey with her gift from Barker's Aunt Jamie, Uncle Glenn and Barker's cousins.

With her tea pot from her Auntie Megan. It teachers her manners and she loves it!

Thank you all for making her first birthday so special!
