Fort Worth Stock Show 2010

We love the Fort Worth Stock Show and look forward to it every year. We love to see the animals..

And this year as a special treat we got to see our good friends The Nelsons.

Jason, Neile, Colin and JP's little legs (he was hiding from me, the turkey!)

We like the carnival rides.

Barker and Audrey raced JP.

JP won!

Most of all we love the fair food!

And the shopping...

And petting all the animals

Can't wait until next year!

Stork Season

In the past couple of weeks we've had 4 friends have babies. I know another 7 or so that are currently pregnant, and a few others that are trying. Yikes! It seems to be Stork Season in every home but ours!

This weekend we got to meet Miss Margaret. She is the first daughter for Barker's friend Tom and his wife Rebekah. They also have Henry who is a couple of months older than Audrey. Margaret is just as sweet as can be and we're so happy for Tom and Rebekah to have a daughter to shower with love.

Barker meeting Margaret. He is finally no longer the lone member in the Daddies of Daughters Club. Tom is Barker's first friend to have a little girl. Forever Barker has been the only one of his friends to have a daughter and he was thrilled that Tom gets to know the great joys of having one.

Then it was my turn to meet Miss Margaret. She is the most precious little thing and I'd challenge anyone to not instantly fall in love with this sweet baby.

Audrey was also excited. She loves babies at the moment and it took all the strength I had to keep her hands off of Margaret.

Very proud Daddies with their little angels

Then Audrey and I had the pleasure of meeting Nolan Khale. My friends Staci and Joedy Musick have a daughter and son that are 8 and 9 I believe, so we have all waited patiently for them to start all over again with a new baby! What a wonderful adventure it will be!

Happy 2nd Birthdays Lily and Connor!

This weekend, like the last one, was a busy weekend filled with birthday parties for Audrey's friends.

Saturday was Lily's 2nd at the Little Gym in Arlington. We love the Little Gym and enjoyed being able to go twice that week! My friend Sherri did an amazing job with the Mickey and Minnie Mouse themed party. No detail was left out and everyone had a blast!

Lily, the birthday girl

Yes, my super talented friend made her dress, hat and all of the decor. She does embroidery in Arlington and makes aprons, blankets, baby bedding, quilts, bows, onesies, outfits, diaper cloths, you name it!
You can find her for custom jobs at http://www.etsy.com/profile.php?user_id=8063191

Audrey wants so badly to be able to jump!

Then on Sunday it was Connor's turn with a Thomas themed party. The birthday boy got a ton of Thomas and Toy Story loot for his 2nd! Oh, and some pretty cool boots and an awesome Ranger's hat. I was a wee bit jealous of the stylish little man.

Yay for birthday parties!

Alumni Soccer Game 2010

This Saturday was Barker's annual alumni soccer game. It was cold but Audrey didn't mind being bundled up as much as she normally does. She even kept her hat on for a while.

She enjoyed the ramps on the bleachers.

And Barker enjoyed being able to play outdoor instead of indoor for once.

Oh! And Barker finally got to meet Liam! We used to see the Wallace family every week ever since Audrey was just a few months old but since we moved to Prosper, and they moved to Keller, we never see each other. So it was fun to get together again!

Proud, proud Papas with their mini-me's.

We also got to see Barker's cousin Alisha who's due in just a few months now. She's a coach at Barker's old High School in Crowley.

Audrey just had to give Liam a bottle, little Mama that she is. I tried to keep mittens on her so she wouldn't try to pick him up or feed him but they didn't stop her. She just loves babies at the moment.

And Barker taught Audrey to kick a soccer ball. He'd been waiting for this moment since we found out we were expecting. I love that it was at his old High School where I saw him for the first time when we were just 17. Sadly, we didn't actually meet until many years later.

She's a natural, of course. And as I'm sure you could guess, he bought her a soccer ball the next day. He handed it to her, she put it on the ground and kicked it! Life is good.
