Fossil Rim

Today was a very good day! Barker took a day off so we could take Audrey to Fossil Rim.

We saw more animals than I care to rattle off.

But the giraffes were my fav!

My husband is near perfect...notice I said 'near.' One thing he can't do....look at the camera while smiling a real smile.

Gift shop fun

When we stopped for a little while to feed this guy, he decided to get a little too close for Audrey's liking...so she decided to head for the hills. Ha!

Lots of baby animals!

And one tired Audrey at the end of the tour.

Burnt Orange Nation

90% of my friends are graduates of Texas A&M, but somehow find it in their hearts to still love me. If you're one of them, you'll want to disregard this post and continue on to the next one. ; )

This weekend we made a trip to one of our favorite cities....Austin. And oh what a great time we had!!

We made a stop at Hut's! Yum yum yum!

Audrey loved their onion rings! She used one as a steering wheel and bracelet before eating half of it.

We also caught a Texas Baseball game. The weather was perfect and we had a blast!

As soon as we arrived, Audrey walked over to the fence and pressed her face against it. Like any photo op loving mother, I snapped a picture before wiping the dirt off. I'm sure other mothers were giving me looks but I figure dirt is just a part of baseball.

Audrey ran all over the stadium so in an attempt to contain her Barker thought he'd surprise us with treats. He came back with a little thing of Dip 'n Dots for me and a huge bag of popcorn for Audrey. (You can see where I now rank)

After lots of shopping (I love my husband) we met up with Jeff and his crew for dinner at Baby A's.

After a long, long day of bike riding, baseball games, and dance recitals the kids were all such troopers!

I love this picture and can't believe what a big kid Audrey looks like next to her cousins.

We always have the best time in Austin and I'm already looking forward to the next trip!

Happy 2nd Birthday Ella!

We had a super busy week, and one highlight was Ella turning two!

I didn't take many pictures because we were too busy celebrating Miss Ella : )

Down, Set.......

We had a quick visit with Raymond's boys recently. They taught Audi how to play football.

Hunter, Audrey, Kannon and Fisher

However, didn't want to learn to tackle.

Fisher

I love this picture. But it doesn't do his eyes justice.

Connor was in no way interested in football. He played with rocks and kept to himself.

Audrey loves her some Fisher. Or as she calls him, "Fish!!" They're 3 weeks apart and so cute together.

Beyond The Rainbow

Today we attended the 22nd Annual Beyond The Rainbow Luncheon and Fashion show benefiting the Childrens Cancer Fund. It's a wonderful cause and I'm so thankful we were able to be there.
None of my pictures turned out so I borrowed a few from my friend Diane who had the best seat in the house. (Thanks Diane) Here are a few of her snap shots of some very brave kiddos.

Ella is Two!

I had a grilled cheese themed play date for my Arlington Mommies group at our house and it happened to fall on Ella's 2nd Birthday. So we combined the two. It was so nice of our friends to make the hour trip to Prosper to come see us for the day!

I made Ella some cupcakes...

and other special treats like these festive marshmallows, and caramel apple slices.

Baby Audrey enjoying some grilled cheese and veggie sticks.

Mieke and Audrey

Camden

After I made lunch we all headed out side for some fun in the sun.

However, baby Audrey wasn't so thrilled with my sunblock rule!

The Barker and Baker girls playing with some sidewalk chalk.
(my little lefty)

Audrey was quite excited about the Wiffle ball.

Alec and Kyle enjoyed playing with bubbles.

Johanna doted on Audrey all afternoon.

Maybe even a little too much...

I think Gray got a tad bit jealous!

Audi and Cam

Audi loves her wiffle balls and bat!

Eliza

Then it was time for the birthday song and cupcakes!
(It was too windy for the candle.)

I let the kids play in the sprinkler since the pool isn't warm enough yet.

And after we dried off they all had a snack.
What a great day!!
