Nitro Circus
I bought tickets for barker to take the kids to nitro circus since he isn't home much in the spring. They were so excited and loved all the stunts and pyrotechnics.
Welcome to the swamp
Barker is now the coach at Captain Shreve. They asked him to throw the first pitch at a baseball game to introduce him. It was so fun! And it was a strike. (Proud wife)
They let him keep the ball and Arden loved it!
Surprise!
We like to surprise Audrey at school during lunch time. Arden loved her sister and eating school food. (It's genuinely awful these days. Prison food. Shame.)
Born on the bayou
We live on a bayou and it's been rising. Luckily, so far, these tiny turtles are all that have been showing up in our yard.
NOLA
Took the kids to New Orleans. Sure museums and tours are fun but there's nothing the like more than staying in a hotel. They're champion couch potatoes.
Let's get physical
I go to the gym every morning but Sunday so the kids have no choice but to tag along. Hudson has always taken a class there but for a while Arden went too.
She basically chases a yoga ball and thinks she deserves a sticker for her efforts.
Let the good times roll
Arden, being born in Louisiana, is a natural.
She caught this gator and held up his little hands to catch things.
Huddie caught his yearly fav, a hot dog.
Audrey is a veteran at this point.

Spiderman Bash
This year I decided to go against the grain and had Hud Muffin's birthday party on a Wednesday night, Spiderman style. We had it at an indoor trampoline place (I usually avoid those so I don't have to pay the deductible for a broken bone just yet.) We invited a few of his friends from school and church and Barker sweet talked his way into a baker's heart to get us a discontinued Spiderman cookie cake.

Not So Silent Night
Wow. Embarrassing how far behind I am on the blog. Oops.
Christmastime. Here we go.
Annual nativity play.
As always Audrey was an angel.
And Hudson was a wise man and much less of a wild child than in previous years.
Barker and Audrey ice skating.
Barker coached in West Monroe so we tagged along to visit the children's museum. The bigs met Santa.
The littles rode a train and made cookies.
Arden enjoyed driving the ambulance.
I saw my little brother at Christmas and was able to give his kids the memory dolls I had made for our children out of the dresses our mother wore to our weddings. I think they turned out beautifully.
Candlelight Christmas Eve service is my favorite of the year. But I'm usually in the hospital, since I have the habit of delivering babies this time of the year. But this year I could go with my family! However Arden had other plans.
She wanted no part of it so we had to play outside and in the stairway. I was like "Arden are you really gonna act like this in Jesus's house on his birthday of all days?" SheeshAs you can see she was over it before we even left the house.
Our night before Christmas bedtime stories. This year was heavily Louisiana themed.
One thing I seriously regret, I have many, but one was not having my grandmother teach barker to make a proper English Christmas dinner before she passed last year. He was nice enough to attempt it on his own for me.
His beef Wellington was divine. Just spot on. Melted in your mouth. I was highly impressed. And his Yorkshire pudding was perfection. I'm a lucky girl.
Santa's loot
Lots of peppa stuff for Arden. Building toys for Hudson. Craft stuff and clothes for Audrey. They are really good about all playing with each other's toys and sharing.
New pacis!
