Audrey's First Day of Kindergarten

The state finally won and ripped my sweet girl from my arms for 5 days a week. Ugh. I hate it. I like all of my babies close so I can protect them. I don't like not being able to put my hands on them.
But she's loving it, of course.
Her teacher thinks she is just the sweetest thing, and she's correct.
 before we left for kindergarten

After we dropped her off the school hosted a boo hoo breakfast so all the parents could eat and cry.

We took her to the open house the week before to prep her, but she was a natural. I guess, looking back, it was more so to prepare me for this milestone. But nothing could ready me for having her out of my grasp 5 days a week. She's my other half. I don't like not having her right here next to me. But it makes it easier that she's enjoying it so much. She loves buying her meals at school and making new friends and it annoys her that she can't ride the bus. She was so ready. And as always it was me being a crying mess.
See a pattern forming here?

Muffin's First Day of School (K3)

Hudson's first day of school this year, in the young 3 class, was a great success. As soon as he saw the parking lot he said "Thank you Mom! Thank you!"
He loves his preschool.
Upon our arrival I had to break it to the director that I was well aware of Barker registering him to go to school 4 days a week but I, however, was not capable of sharing him that many days and would only be able to part with him for 2 days a week. She tried to negotiate with me but I just couldn't budge. He is only 2 years old after all. Next year he can go 4 days a week like Audrey did in the K4 class, but for now I'm going to be selfish a bit longer. These years go by quickly so I'm going to keep him within arm's reach as long as I can.
All the other parents were giving each other high fives and talking about how they wish it was 5 days a week and was it too early to go get a drink to celebrate. I was the only one crying. I couldn't help it.

8 Months Old

Our little loud one is 8 months old now
Oh this sweet smile!

Rollin' with the Homies

For Audrey's 6th birthday we took her bowling with a few buddies. We went during the day so it wasn't very crowded. No one had been bowing before, except for Audrey who went once more than 2 years ago, but they all enjoyed themselves.

Hudson was excited to bowl.

But waiting for a few other girls to then take their turns was not so fun.

 Thomas did really well.
I think he had a spare.

double stuffed cookie cake, yes sir

Huddie was amazed by the clear front vending machine.

On her actual birthday I think we did donuts for breakfast and opened gifts before soccer camp.

Then we hit up Chuck E Cheese for lunch, like we always do.
She and Hudson played a lot of things together.

Daddy snagged a few tickets playing basketball, with a baby in the other arm.

That evening she had soccer so she shared chocolate cupcakes with her class.
6 years old, our first love, sweeter than a cupcake
