8 Months Old

I still can't quite believe it but some how this little stinker is 8 months old.

Shopping with Daddy

This is what happens when Audrey goes shopping with Daddy. No bow, no shopping cart cover but he does seem to find the funniest hats around. This is a look we like to call "old lady at a wedding in England."

And an update. About a week ago I finally found shoes she can't take off. Only 8 months of looking to find these puppies.

Old People at the Sig House

We went to Shreveport this weekend for the Alumni Golf Tournament. While all the Daddies were at the tournament Audrey and I went shopping with Kristen and Thomas Blancher, and Rebekah and Henry Louis.

Audrey with her friend Thomas.
I bought her this dress and several others at a shopping event I went to with Kristen on Friday night while Adam and Barker watched the babies and some March Madness.

After the guys bombed at the tournament we all went down to the Sig house for a craw fish boil. We were the old people at the Sig house. Pretty embarrassing but worth it for craw fish.

Audrey next to one of her Daddy's plaque pictures. I just thought her expression was too funny. Notice how her feet don't touch the ground, that's because it's the most disgusting place we've ever been. Even worse than bathrooms in Europe. Again, the things we do for craw fish. I still can't believe my husband lived there.

Don't worry, I'll see to it that this is the only time in her entire life that she's in a fraternity house. Doesn't she look thrilled to be there?

With our good friends Adam and Kristen Blancher and their son Thomas (who is almost 2 weeks older than Audrey) and Tom and Rebekah Louis. Henry was already asleep some place much cleaner than the Sig house.

Audrey meeting her 1st craw fish. I almost stepped on this little guy in the back yard.

And then Tom decided he had to play beer pong. I thought Rebekah might die of embarrassment but somehow she survived. They may have lost during golf but they won at beer pong. Barker wanted me to be sure and note that fact.

The next day we had lunch before we headed back to Texas.

I let Audrey have a tiny taste of the chocolate sauce off of my plate. She squealed and tried to get across the table to my plate for another taste. I think she has a sweet tooth like her mommy.

Saint Patrick's Day

We had a very busy Saint Patrick's Day this year.

First we went to a play date.

Audrey refused to take a nap before the get together so after about an hour and a half she looked like this...

So we went back to the house. After she ate and had a power nap we went to the park. It was a beautiful day to be outside and Audrey slept for the full hour. We still have another couple of things planned for the rest of the day so I hope she stays in a good mood!

Pickles

We went to lunch a few days ago and after Audrey finished her lunch she wanted some of Daddy's. So I told him to let her have a little taste of a dill pickle, thinking she would make a funny face and pull away. But that's not what happened. She decided she likes pickles, gave us a HUGE smile and tried to eat the whole thing. I made him take it away because I didn't want it to upset her tummy. Must have been all those fried pickles I ate while I was pregnant.

7 months old

My cuddle bug is 7 months old!

A very happy anniversary!

Barker is always surprising me but for our anniversary this year he went above and beyond. He took me to Vegas to see the Cirque du Soleil Beatles Love show. I've seen Cirque before but you have to see them in Vegas on the stage made for that specific show to really appreciate it. It was amazing! We had the best seats in the house because it was our anniversary. The performers from the show really included the audience. You would look around and they would be next to you and things like streamers and rose petals would fall from above. Some favorites of mine were For the benefit of Mr. Kite, Octopus' Garden and Revolution (those trampolines were so cool.)

We stayed in the penthouse suite at the Mirage. Yep, the 30th floor, even though I'm scared of heights.

Part of the suite. (I didn't over load the blog with pictures of the suite because it was just too big.) It was the size of some houses. Most of the pictures Barker took somehow got deleted when they were uploading to my computer so we don't have a picture of the view from the windows looking down onto the strip. = (
But we quite enjoyed the Mirage. It is in a great location. The staff there was very helpful when Barker called and set all of this up. They made reservations for him for dinners, the show, spa treatments and they sent us up some champagne for our anniversary.

The new and improved volcano show at the Mirage.

It was right next door to Caesar's Palace so we went to the shops.

View from inside where we ate dinner. There were 150 shops and 15 restaurants. Most of the shops were like Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, Dolce & Gabbana, etc so Barker had me on a pretty short leash.

We went shopping for Audrey and one of her little friends at F.A.O Schwarz.

Water show at the Bellagio.

And Barker booked me an entire day at the Kim Vo Salon and Spa. It was so nice. But after about 24 hours I was ready to get home to Audrey so I don't think we'll be going anywhere with out her again for the next 18 years.

Big thanks again to Barker for another wonderful anniversary and for being the best husband I could imagine!
