Barker's alumni soccer game is usually held in January but this year, luckily for us, it was held at the very end of December. So we were able to make it.
The alumni won, again. : )
It was freezing, again. : (
The kids had fun. Hudson had just started taking steps that week so he enjoyed testing out the bleachers a bit. He also loved yelling "Dad! Dad! Dad!" at Barker on the field. It was cute but man it really advertised how old we are. Ouch!
But Audrey quickly bored of being cold and none of the other wives were dumb enough to drag their kids to the game so we retreated to the car to watch The Wizard of Oz, which Audrey calls Dorothy Gail : )
(Please don't think I'm just an awful mom, Barker had something else we had to do with the kids after the game and there wasn't time for him to pick myself and the kids up in between the two events so we were forced to brave the cold all day long. I don't just enjoy torturing them with the cold weather.)
