We had the most laid back 4th of July to date.
We let the kids play in the paddling pool and Barker grilled.
We didn't bother with a big fireworks show, since they don't start until dark and Arden is begging for bed by 6, instead opting to let the kids play on the pavement with some small sparklers and those things that pop when you throw them down. Everything was fine until a big kid that was visiting a neighbor kept setting off super loud things in front of our house, I'm guessing he thought my kids would enjoy it. They did not. Eventually we had to retreat to the front window and watch the bigs and daddy play.
